...And a Passion for Helping Kids Succeed in Life
Making a difference in a kid's life often involves
simply being in a place where you are available to help. Bridges
for Youth centers are located at the heart of neighborhoods with
hundreds of youth within walking distance and are open daily throughout
the school year. Our success at Bridges has been in a large part
because of the nurturing relationships we develop with kids. Out
of these ongoing relationships we strive to forgive, reconcile
differences, encourages through life's discouragements and slowly
build self-esteem.
...All Wrapped Up in a Fun-Filled Neighborhood
Youth Center.
You can't help kids if they are not at the Bridges
for Youth center, so we draw them in with fun games, activities
and a caring staff. Kids can play pool, air hockey, foosball,
ping pong or a variety of family-friendly video games. There is
always a family movie playing in the TV room and on the overhead
TVs and popcorn is available for free at the snack bar. At designated
times there are supervised outdoor games and other activities.
It's hard to wear a smile when you're hungry, so
Bridges for Youth provides daily snacks and drinks for kids. During
our weekend programs hot dogs and pizza are served to all youth
while drama skits and music are frequently provided by area church
groups.
