A Bridges For Youth Center in your neighborhood or town is
something that we know will make a tremendous impact on your kids and families.
Not only does a Bridges For Youth center provide a place for kids to go after
school and on a Friday or Saturday night, but it also builds Christ-like character
and self-esteem. Providing a safe and encouraging place is equally helpful
to the community and parents, because the kids attending BFY are not succumbing
to peer pressure to do mischief, drugs or alcohol, while mom and dad are at
work. The BFY youth center has no membership fees, so no matter what your
income level or situation, a youth from age 6 to 18 may attend.
Bridges For Youth Centers has a cost efficient and effective
after school and weekend program for youth, that we have been developing over
the last 11 years. We serve kids, ages 6 to 18, at our six current youth centers
and charge no kid a fee to attend. A parent or guardian only needs to fill out
a registration for their child or children to attend.
All Bridges For Youth programs are administrated through the corporate office
in Springfield, Missouri. Each individual youth center has trained staff who
have a love for kids. Thorough background checks and references are required
for all Bridges For Youth staff. Prior to employment a potential staff person
must go through two weeks of job training, to see if they are a good candidate
for youth work. Staff for youth centers in small towns will be hired locally,
in most circumstances.
Since we are in this for the long haul, our goal is to acquire property for
a Bridges For Youth Center in a neighborhood or small town. It is our hope that
the center will be there for generations of kids. Help with homework, after
school snacks, character building daily devotions, and just providing a place
for kids to enjoy being a kid, that’s what Bridges For Youth Centers is
all about.
